[2] A first look at the rules

DarkRP is fun, but only when everyone follows the rules!

Our rule page can be quite intimidating at first - but they are there to ensure roleplay can happen smoothly for everyone. The best way to learn them is to play, but there are a few important ones that you will need to keep in mind right away. To access our rules, you can press F6 in game, or visit the link:

Perhaps the most important rule is the one related to killing - when can you kill someone? 

Random Death Match (RDM):

 

Do not randomly damage or kill people. You may kill people after completing a 10 second kill warning, for hostile intent, if you're raiding them or if your job allows it.

Basically, there are only three situations where you can kill someone:

  1. If they engage in hostile intent.
  2. You give someone a valid 10 second warning, and they do not comply to your demand after 10 seconds.
  3. You are raiding.

You may be confused at this point, because each term that is listed in blue is a common phrase. For a new player though, its hard for you to keep track or know all the common phrases. Luckily, everything is is precisely described in the rules! 

A strategy to find exactly what you need is to use the quick search function (CTRL + F) to find key words quickly. Some rules are quite tricky to interpret, so always feel free to call an administrator for help if you have questions!
